Afdarenty 3-0 Timdood3

The upgrade advantage was simply too large here. Good games.

Game 1 (Win) vs BB Splash

Good quanta draw including 3 Damsels, plus an early EE and fog. Few SoFr for me this game, I held off playing my Dragons for the majority of the game to play around BB. The damage from the EE plus a fly or two was significant, though. Fog and Snipe bought me enough time to play a couple of Dragons with 1 SoFr out, which was enough to win by a few turns.

Game 2 (Win) vs Water Rush
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sr 4sr 4sr 5og 5og 5on 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pa 7ms 7ms 7ms 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7n5 7n5 7oe 7oe 7oe 8pr

Very similar draw to G1, no Fog this time, though. EE kept his damage largely under control until he played a Sky Dragon in the mid game. His deck had no real answer to my Sky Dragon once it was played though, and I managed to play my Dragon before his. Damage from that and my EE was enough to outrace him.

Game 3 (Win) vs Water Rush
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

RNG didn't care how many Damsels were actually in my deck, it was going to give me a draw with lots of them anyway. No EE or Fog this game, though, and only 3 quanta sources in my opening hand. Both my flies were TStormed early, but by then I had made 6 quanta from them and I drew into a good number of pillars/pends. 3 SoFr meant his Fog did little, and my Dragons did much. The Shockwave on his Toad slowed him by a lot, I won by a couple of turns.

Afda 3 - 0 Tim
Rip in ripperonis

Afda's descriptions are accurate.
I included Tstorms in both decks because Damsels were big players for him last time.

Ran this deck only to see if he'd go for Nymphs game one like last time.  Was not to be.

I knew he'd just spam mono-air, so I did the best I could against it.  Toadfish provided a fair answer to Dragons in tandem with Tstorms, provided the Toad got through SoFree, which never happened.

Overall good games, though I never really stood a chance xD

One more match that went down by Mark usage. But why should one ban them if we could just keep elitism everywhere and let your card pool decide matches like these?

I honestly think the upgraded cards collection was more important here, specially because MoP played a deck with no EQ too. g1 looked a lot like the mono he used in round 1 and g2 was a deck that used dragons, dilgos and acceleration (which was the card that won him the game + my derp), g3 had BB and warden instead of EQ (also, the combination that stopped me long enough for cata to do its work).

One match out of hundreds that went down by Mark usage. But why should we provide even a marginally more powerful card to players who win tournaments and events if we could just remove the significance of the rewards entirely so that players will have less interest in even playing matches like these in the first place?
Somehow still around, somewhat
