Pella 3:2 RootRanger
I was allowed 4 ups per deck. Root was allowed 10 but played only 6 because he forgot that Permachamps act as Aides regarding ups. This was obvious when he told me after Duel #1 that I was allowed no ups. I reminded him of the rule, which he acknowledged, yet still chose to play with only 6. My best guess for that choice is this:
If only I had known Pella knew what he was doing
Of course, that just means he won't underestimate me next time. *puts on full plate*

He had too much CC for me to handle.

My deck was slow. His deck was fast. Also, I couldn't keep the Dim chain going.

The most tense and exciting duel of the match. Essential v. Essential mod. He played his first Dim when he had 18 cards remaining. I waited until I had 17 cards and 17HP remaining. His Dim chain dropped twice, which allowed me to knock him down to 13HP. My Dim chain remained intact. His last 2 Dims were in the bottom 3 cards of his deck; when his chain dropped again, I won.
For the record, even with perfect Dim chains on both sides, I would have won by deckout.
Duel #5 (WIN): Psion/Spider-tal (same deck as #3)
This, ladies and gentlemen, is how to perform a
"Rope-a-Dope" manoeuvre. After my win by Dim in Duel #4, I somehow knew--not guessed, KNEW--that he would expect Dims again and would pack PC to deal with them. Therefore, I didn't pack any. I CC'd his critters as he played them and kept hitting him with my critters. He Fractal'd, then I Fractal'd. His HP was so low by that point, though, that the duel was mine.
Good match, sir.
