Time's up!

Nearing the End We're nearing the end of Brawl #3, so now's the time to pull out all the stops and fight your hardest. The world is at stake! ...or at least your team's score. Fight your hardest! Read Brawl Rules All submissions must be made by PM-ing the Brawlmasters using the following format: [ROUND X] ROLES

A colorful deck Build a deck using as many different elements as possible without using QT, SoI, Nova, or Immolation (or their upgraded forms). Must be able to grind AI3 Special Rules: Please limit to under 250 words (we will be using The Word Count Tool for validation). Submissions breaking these rules will be disqualified. What's in a name? Depict your team's name (not team itself) using traditional medium. Special Rules: Only use original or royalty-free art. Provide credit where necessary. Use of work from other members of the Elements Community (even with permission) is strictly forbidden. A Card of the Boss Create a card based on your team Boss and build a deck around it. Special Rules: All card submissions must follow the CIA Guidelines, with one important exception: NO card art alowed. You can say and explain anything about the card in < 100 words. Decks must be playable in-game. Voters will be highly encouraged to take originality and potential winnability into consideration. EtG goes Viral Adapt a viral video to Elements (E.g. "Leave Brittney alone"->Leave Zanz alone!) Theory Article Write a game theory article about one deck type or strategy. A Creature's Diary. Write, in diary form, about a creature's life from its point of view. Three to five entries.

Write and perform a team song! What the title says. It can be any easily listenable audio form or video. The winner of this bonus task will get additional 10 points! All teams who submit will receive 5 points! Deadline: Round #6 deadline.

PS: You better get many points in this round because Round #6 will be the hardest.

Yep! You can do anything you want so long as it is a song.

Also, we missed a card or two on the intended ban list. No NT or Nymph Queen. The spirit of the challenge is against that so those are banned now as well.

What counts as "using" an element? Would having 1 firefly queen in the deck count as just , or both and ? Or even , , and because fireflies create (in their unupped for at least)?

I would think that "using" an element would require generating and spending quanta of that element. (other costs not included)
So casting Firefly Queen would count as Air, using its ability via  would count as Life, and if the generated  was spend on a  casting cost or a  activation cost then it would count as Light.

However using its ability after using Shard of Readiness (removing the cost) would not count as Life.

This is correct. Having a card in deck that you can play, and if it's effect is off colored if you can pay for the effect then that counts as well.
