@ CO: About scribe: The material we get from the dwarves is inspired by LI-900, which has those weaknesses and understandably doesnt make the greatest armor on its own. Don't you think your soldiers should be able to move and breath and maybe just maybe survive the first time they get struck by claws? About the precision; I think we are in late medieval times with magic and some advanced species and as such I dont think accurate measurements for extreme heat are possible yet, unless we get  sth from the dwarves that does that.
The imperfect solutions are due to us trying to be realistic, if we had a material that perfectly protects all of the body without drawbacks, we'd just make the whole armor of it and that would be boring.
I've heard of LI-900 although I didn't know its name before today. It's made of silica (to my understanding) and not quartz; which would be very brittle (afaik) and not flexible at all.

Of course, you don't specify that it actually is quartz, only that it looks like it and is named as such.

Your second point, fair enough, but I'd still like to know things like how hot adder fire is.

Your trying to be realistic isn't very realistic. I'm sure that using the armour to protect a log and them checking it for burns afterwards isn't nearly reliable enough for you to see anything that would hurt a human. Also, asbestosis? :P

FROGS ROYALTY: Invisible just from your opponent or from you too?

From your opponent only. You can see and target your opponent creatures, while he/she can't do so. Think of it as a reversed Cloak.

@CleanOnion: I think you are a little harsh with all the wizard tasks this round. Butterfly effect is a really wide term because there are plenty of minor changes that may occur with it, from changing the way your past self thinks to changing the weather itself. Just my 2 cents.

Nowhere in the task does it say butterfly effect needed. In any case ours did have a sort of butterfly effect. If rob had befriended the dog rather than putting an axe in it, he would have been able to send it into the pit first. But i get the subjectivity of your choice so it's fine i guess, though as you write the tasks it seems odd to be so specific about what type of submissions you are looking for.

Also, you seem to expect card designs to not be put in decks built around them. Yes, ooze would affect us too, that's why we'd put it in a Creature heavy deck and only use spells as our last action that turn.
Skeleton pit, wed wait until charge was used up on opponent, then spam our creatures before recharging it.

Explain how you could travel back in time and start a series of events to stop this from happening, using the butterfly effect!

I'm not entirely certain how it could be read otherwise, but it seemed kind of required to me...

Quartz is the most common form of silica in nature and as such it is reasonable to assume that products based off it are named after quartz. Also we tested it on humans afterwards, though you may argue that thats a bit quick to put a humans life on the line.

For wizard using the butterfly effect to its full extend implies no planning whatsoever, as it heavily relies on random events (or at least inumerous details that one shouldnt be able to see on the 2nd attempt already; I suppose the best compromise would be sth similiar to the destruction of the death star where a predictable chain reaction destroys the whole thing because of a small hit in the right spot).
For our story BE1 was changing the victim of the trap (arguably to big a change to compare to a butterfly flapping one extra time), which turned the trap against its maker akin to playing singularity into the actual card. BE2 was that the gull made an appearance, because it was Amashi rather than Joey who joined their forces, sending important papers flying (besides also starting a fire). These same papers werent retrieved and instead the giant demon bumped into them and released them only once his summoning ended, right on top of some backpacks. Thus a soldier, that was never supposed to see these papers, had them with him while they assaulted us and we received valuable information. Obviously its impossible to see that one (BE2) unless you know it happened, but we couldn't find a way to make it clearer without making the entire story revolve around some papers instead.

Edit: About asbestosis: some sacrifices have to be made to kill a dragon. Besides it only occurs when bits of the asbestos are getting loose which depending on the processing can be kept to a minimum (though it will always be a health risk).

Royalty/Wizard: TG and S7 have cards that whose gameplay actually feels like a “trap”, and TG has the clearly best writing among all teams in this task.  FROGS and S7 have similarly competent writing, so FROGS will receive 3 points, and S7 2 for the slight edge.
Voints: TG 10, FROGS 3, S7 2
Bard/Enchanter: Wow! TG and FROGS have truly amazing art and an easily guaranteed 5s for that side of the coin.  S7’s card creates an extremely-unfun lock, and is the best hate card for fractal ever printed (but is in-element with fractal, and thus fails to expand balance). Night Carrier (FROGS) is slightly too transparently doing what it is doing, which leaves TG and PC getting the 5 voints for the card design.
Voints: TG 10, FROGS 5, PC 5
Crusader: PC have an incomplete description, and the only one of the four decks not to be a life-based combo deck with Survival Trait.  I think the fairest way to handle this is to dock the points from PC for lacking description and distribute the remainder 3-3-3-1, as the Survival Trait decks are close enough in quality and concept to not have earned point differentiation.
Scribe: TG’s report made me literally cackle out loud more than once during reading it, well done! TG caps off the round with another five voints from me!  S7 has the next best description, with FROGS and PC both feeling interesting but leaving me with a feeling that there just wasn’t enough there.

Royalty/Wizard

All of the teams except for Pyrocloaks completely failed to give a series of events or butterfly effect to prevent the trap from being sprung. Unfortunately, their story wasn't very believable. I'm going to give them 2 voints anyway, and the rest will be awarded based on the cards. I'm a huge fan of Skeletons and Tentacles probably have the best card of the Brawl so far. S7 and Frogs also have well designed cards, with a possibility of being a bit overpowered. Pyrocloaks have bad wording and there's not really any room to give points here with the other submissions being so good. Overall I'm pleased with the higher quality of cards this round.

Tentacle's Grip - 8
S7 - 5
F.R.O.G.S. - 5
Pyrocloaks - 2

Bard/Enchanter

Tentacles: Card is good, art is bad.
Frogs: Card is underpowered, art is really nice.
Pyrocloaks: Body is too small, limbs are too large. Ability and stats don't fit Fire at all.
S7: Art is terrible, card is really good.

S7 - 7
F.R.O.G.S. - 6
Tentacle's Grip - 5
Pyrocloaks - 2

Crusader

Pyrocloaks have no reason to use Sponge over a 0 cost other than to fulfill the requirements of the task. The other decks are the same lol so I'll award voints based on my ranking, although 10 voints makes this awkward.

Tentacle's Grip - 4
S7 - 3
F.R.O.G.S. - 2
Pyrocloaks - 1

Scribe

S7 and Tentacles are the clear winners here, simply better written and put together.

S7 - 5
Tentacle's Grip - 5
Pyrocloaks - 0
F.R.O.G.S. - 0

Total
Tentacle's Grip - 22
S7 - 20
F.R.O.G.S. - 13
Pyrocloaks - 5

Best submission overall: S7's Scribe task. I really enjoyed the development process of the armor. Bone Pit or Gate Keeper could have won this if the other halves of their tasks were better.

Bard/Enchanter: Wow! TG and FROGS have truly amazing art
and an easily guaranteed 5s for that side of the coin.

Tentacles: Card is good, art is bad.

Vicious Ooze sounds really op to me, but the idea is interesting.

TTG's card honestly doesn't seem super-good at first glance, since you are limiting your own spell casts as well. Of course if you use this you probably will have few or none spells in your deck, but that is still limiting your deck capabilities. Granted, your deck will be more prepared than your opponent's. It's a card that slows down several other decks, like heavy control decks or fractal decks. Its stats feels a bit weak for a card that could be situational, very much like S7's card.
Winner: TTG wins barely because it has a cool mechanic, but all cards were good.

Tentacle: Wow that's an interesting one... I definitely like the unupped.  The upped I'm iffy on though.   If you had made it non-pillar permanent it would have been a shoe in, but limiting people to one per turn is too harsh.

I'm not used to this many contradicting opinions in the hivemind
