As always around the bloody pit we call the "Brawlmaster suggestion Box", we get new ideas for ways to make the event more fun and balanced. Official full rules will be posted closer to the end of War as that event winds down and Brawl gets ready. However, here are a few major changes that will be seen next Brawl.
Changes to the Team
As has been requested, and demanded by forum stagnation, Brawl teams will be smaller this time around. How small? Well! That's up to your boss, as teams can now consist of anywhere between three to six players! And, with smaller teams we will be having a minimum of seven teams competing for glory this year. And, so that the best of the best don't unfairly team up for cheap, their will be no maximum bids on players. Bosses will have to weigh up the balance between having more expensive players, and the workload-per-player. Six tasks per week, a Bonus task and a Super Bonus task divided between only three players is no easy feat. Finally, substitutions will now have a cost to prevent abuse.
Voting
In conjunction with the altered team sizes, and past issues of inactivity, team voting will now be set not to add to the popular vote, but in such a way that it adds points directly based on the team's decisions as a whole. This is balanced so that teams of any size all have an equal ability to earn points and bosses will not be penalized for buying players that later become inactive. Scoring for the popular vote has also been rebalanced.
Forum Expert and Offtopicker
Another frequent request that has been encouraged by stagnation is the elimination of one or both of these roles. As such, your brawlmasters have punched them both so hard that they have fused into a single role for this brawl.
Challenges and Wagers
With the changes to the team, challenges and wagers will now be made from teams, to teams. While there will still be caps on this, we hope it will encourage more of both of these to occur in Brawl #5.
And Best Of All...
Submissions will now be made in your secret section instead of in private message! Oh frabjous day! No more will I have to dig through countless messages to see if your teammates submitted their tasks. No more will I receive four copies of the same entry with minor tweaks! No more accidently messaging people when I just want to quote the message! Eherm, we hope this will make it easier to see what your teammates have submitted.
