Firstly, Chapuz sells all the cards that are not water, light or aether.

Then he buys

He then takes his deck into PvP 1 with a 50% winrate, earning over 700 electrum in 100 games. He likes this because there's some thinking involved, and because PvP 1 always a surprise.

After gaining enough electrum, he upgrades 3 swords, and changes his deck to this:

Spoiler for Team Entropony Cowboys:
Ok, so Chapuz has the following cards:

4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4t3 4t4 4t4 4t4 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vo 55n 55n 55s 58s 5c9 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f2 5fb 5fb 5fe 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5la 5la 5lc 5ld 5le 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lh 5lj 5ll 5ll 5ll 624 8pq

So it looks like Chapuz likes Light, so we decided to give him a deck that can fully use light(including the ammount of blessings he had):

Which he can buy by selling all but the following cards:

Ok, so now Chapuz has a good deck for farming Ai3, that is fun too, so now we have to move to the next level: Get the rares Chapuz may need during his journey? And where Chapuz can do this outside of Ai3? Yes, bronze. Chapuz may feel bored playing only 1 deck, so we built 3 for him:

Simple OTK deck, 9 cards for combo(In case Chapuz faces decks with more HP), you take care so you can draw the last card you need using the hourglasses.

Nice and fast deck, Chapuz can get those Miracles and Titans while he's farming Ai3 or Bronze using the other 2 decks.

Neat strategy, works nice against most rushes that are in Bronze.
But now Chapuz wants more decks, and what he needs to satisfy this? You are right, electrum! His idea is to build an FG farmer deck that can provide the electrum he needs, and what else he can use but an OTK?

Now Chapuz has a great deck for farming FGs, a great deck for farming Bronze, and a great deck for farming Ai3, so he can try all he wants.

Spoiler for Team Fire:
To build up your account, we suggest you get a broad base of cards before going for upped ones. Having many options available helps greatly when playing tournaments, your daily FG or building a working Arena deck.
But first off, let's build a deck with a good winning chance against AI3 and PvP1:
Spoiler for Deck:

To get it, sell: Dagger, Sword, Butterfly Effect, 2*Graviton Merc, Titanium Shield, Mitosis, 4*Ice Bolt, Solar Shield,  6*Blessing, Holy Light, Guardian Angel, Silence
and buy: 2*Fire Pillar, 2* Fire Spirit, 3*Fire Bolt, 3*Deflagration, 3*Phoenix, 6*Fire Pendulum

From now on don't ever sell any card unless you have more than 6 copies of it. Each time you buy a previously sold card, you will have lost electrum.

Spoiler for pvp1 matches and reward:

Spoiler for being more ambitious and have a run in pvp2:

Don't  get any illusions though, farming will get boring after a while. A good cure for that is, to visit the chat to fool around with folks or do some work (like brawl) and come back every few minutes to do a few games vs.  AI3. This way, you can easily do 100 matches without any trace of boredom.
Spoiler for AI3 stats 100 games:

After a couple matches, you should have enough electrum to buy new cards and modify your deck to your wishes.
As an example, for 348 electrum, you can build a Gravity Duo:

Having played this fire deck for a while, you might want to switch to another deck to get some variety when farming. If you have won a few rare cards, you probably want to build a deck with those. If not, how about trying a Dark/Time duo for another 1006 electrum?

Lastly, try to always have around 1500 electrum before visiting the oracle. This ensures that you can mostly buy a deck to beat the Oracle FG.

Step 1: Sell all cards that are not light or other. Sell the "other" weapons, the two light dragons, and 1 quantum pillar. NOTE: Do NOT sell the rares, Morning Star and Titan.
Step 2: Buy two Crusaders and 5 short bows. Add them to the deck and take out 1 Quantum pillar, 2 Blessings, 1 Guardian Angel, 1 Solar Sheild, 1 Luciferin, 1 Holy Light
Step 3: Sell the cards you just removed and buy 1 Fog Shield and 4 Flying Weapons, and 3 light Pendulums.
Step 4: Add the cards you just bought to your deck and remove the remaining Qauntum Pillars and 1 Light Pillar. Sell those cards and "Viola!"

Into this:

Spoiler for Note/Disclaimer:
This is a simple, fun way to start back up again.
No where do the rules note Chapuz's account was reset, so he could easily have finished the whole quest-line, not giving him the advantage of doing to quest for more electrum.

 :water
Spoiler for Team Surf Ninjas:
First, you need something that can reliably defeat AI3. Sell all the cards except the Titan, Quantum Pillars, Blessings and 3 Light Pillars. Then, buy cards for this deck:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55l 55l 55l 55l 55l 55m 55m 55m 55r 55r 55r 55s 5l8 5l8 5l8 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 8pq

Use Armagios to protect yourself. Defeat your opponent with the Chargers and Titan, which go through shields. Use Blessings on the Chargers to maximize damage, or on the Otyugh to allow it to eat more.

Defeat AI3 to gather cards and money so you can build this deck:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58q 58q 58q 58q 58q 58q 58r 58r 58r 58r 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5lj 5lj 5lj 5lj 5lk 5lk 5lk 8pm

You must buy more cards for it than for your first deck, but it is more powerful.

Use Luciferin to power your Hope shield and once your defense is up, you're almost invulnerable, and your creatures will finish the opponent. This deck may also give you Elemental Mastery (EM), which doubles the cash reward.

With this, you'll be able to get money and cards faster. If you haven't finished the quests, you should choose Eternity as your reward when you do. If you already finished the quests, try to win Eternity from AI1 instead. Then you keep winning until you can build this:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 52s 52s 55u 592 592 592 592 5l9 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5ro 621 621 621 621 6u0 6u0 6u0 8ps

A deck to defeat False Gods. You won't win often, but when you win, you have a chance to get upgraded cards, which are worth lots of money if you sell them.

The idea is simple: Stall with the Dissipation Shield powered by Quantum Pillars, use Antimatter on strong enemy creatures, and either deck him out or kill him with a Graviton Firemaster. Use the Enchant Artifacts on the Eternity, the Dissipation Field, and the Quantum Pillars. Use one Quintessence on your Firemaster, and the others on the opponent's Antimattered creatures. Use the Photon and Eternity to prevent deckout.

Now you should have be able to get enough cards and Electrum to truly do whatever you want!

True Entropy- Design a card based on an actual entropic principle.

Spoiler for Team AbSTRACT:
Thermodynamic Entity
Heat must pass from a hotter object to a colder one.

The passive is called Thermodynamic. The active is called Heat.
If you have an unupped Photon and an unupped Thermodynamic Entity, at the end of the turn Thermodynamic triggers and gives the photon 2 attack, leaving it with 3|1, and the Thermodynamic Entity with 3|1, but with 5 max hp.
'Normal' means the max attack, so if  it is buffed, it wont reverse the buff.

 :entropy
Spoiler for Team Entropony Cowboys:
Flux
Cards are changed as they enter the hand. This card represents the fact that any system will naturally tend toward an increase in entropy. Therefore, the idea is that when you already have a copy of a card, they get changed randomly to other cards in that element. This card affects both players and only works once per card. Fractalled cards enter the hand so are affected by this card. Sanctuary blocks the affect of this card for whichever side has the sanctuary in play.

 :fire
Spoiler for Team Fire:
Diffusion | Osmosis
Mechanics: When it's this permanents turn to take effect, it picks a random element from the permanents in play, checks which player has fewer permanents of that element and steals for them a random matching permanent.
'Other' permanents will be ignored.
Protected permanents will be ignored in all calculations.
Stacked permanents count as much as the stack is big. So if one has 9 Time Pillars and 1 Hourglass, it counts as 10 Time Permanents and the chance for the Hourglass to get stolen is 10%.

This is taken from principle of entropy(classical thermodynamics). Entropy is a property of thermodynamical systems. A thermodynamic system is any physical object or region of space that can be described by its thermodynamic quantities such as temperature, pressure, volume, and density. In a thermodynamic system pressure differences, density differences, and temperature differences all tend to equalize over time

Finally a soft PC for Life! They needed that since a long time.

 :light
Spoiler for Team Crusaderps:
Constancy of Chaos
In the Element's sense of Entropy, a state of chaos, one cannot tell the presence of it unless you can hold some relative to it.  In the randomness of the world, there must be some consistency to set it apart.

Based on the Boltzmann constant, which isn't so much an entropic principle, but a component of many of them in order to determine the amount of entropy.
As a 'constant' its job is to reduce the infinite possible outcomes that would otherwise come about in its absence.

Does not affect damage from Gravity Pull.
Any damage done to a creature is reduced by one.
Any increase in stats to a creature is reduced by one.
Changes in stats cannot go past 0.
  • 2x Boltzmann's Constants does not make Momentum become -1/-1.

Stacks.

 :time
Spoiler for Team Expensive Clocks:
Irreversibility Bow
4 HP when flying for both.
Possible effects on creature:
  • Immortality till next turn (ala seraph.  If used on opponents creature on your turn, it will still be immortal your following turn.)
  • Give it momentum
  • Parallel Universe (owner of creature gets the copy)
  • -3|-0 (can go negative)
  • Lobotomize
  • 2 infection counters
Possible effects on player:
  • Pillars produce 25% quanta (at ability use, in addition to usual production, not instead of. Rounded up.)
  • Draw a card
  • Gain 10 HP
  • Silence
  • 10 damage
  • Skip next draw
On the unupped, each effect has an equal chance (1/6) of happening.
On the upped, the good effects (first 3) has a 1/4 chance of happening when used on yourself/your creatures and the bad effects each have a 1/12 chance of happening, and vice versa when used on the opponent / their creatures (1/4 each bad, 1/12 each good).

Spoiler for Team Surf Ninjas:
Equilibrium
How can you speak of entropic principles without speaking of one of the most important aspects? You can't....
Thus, I present Equilibrium.
Most people hear "Entropic Principle" and immediately jump to Gravity or Entropy. I challenged myself to go beyond that limitation.
I think Water was a great choice to represent Equilibrium, given its thematic attachment to flow and balance.
As for the card itself - any damage you take to a creature or deal to a creature is also dealt randomly to one of the opposing creatures. An AoE spell will deal damage to all creatures on the field. This also effectively doubles the damage of Dry Spell. It can be used as a strong form of soft CC, as it discourages the opponent from damaging your creatures.
There are other ways to use it of course. I'll leave that to your imagination.

Spoiler for Task:
Make a pitch for "Elements the Movie".

 :darkness
Spoiler for Team AbSTRACT:
Elements the movie

"Elementia is destroyed. The great war has broken apart our home world into 12 fragments. Some people have heard rumors that there are others, outsiders, who are trying to start the war again. Their purposes, unknown. All we know is that they are killing the gods of each sector"

A war is approaching and no one is safe. The 12 elements  will turn on one another and chaos will rule. If someone or a group of people can exploit these outsiders, they may be able to stop the war from starting. But they must defend themselves from the incursion horde as they will kill any who stand against.

This is a preview for my movie pitch: elements. It is about a person who alone, must prevent a war from starting between each of the 12 realms. The realms are the fragments of the destroyed world and each of them is home to one element.

The war, as stated in the preview, happened 10 years before the current time. It had forced the world to separate into the 12 sections that later became the realms. The new war would completely destroy the world as it almost did back then. The movie would have regular flashbacks to the war in which the MC was in. These flashbacks would gradually help the MC find out who the rebels are. The identities of them in the movie will both surprise and intrigue the viewers.

Spoiler for Team Crusaderps:
Imagine a cross between Pokemon and the Matrix.  Yeah, pretty damn epic.  “The Web” is a story of a noobish deck builder who realizes that the creatures he controls are not actually real.  As he discovers this life changing fact, he begins to delve into the “Web,” he realizes that he can manipulate the creatures around him.  As he learns to master this new power our protagonist faces off against the corrupted creators of the game.  Using his arsenal of skills and companionship to a very special, yet still digital, Leaf Dragon, he must defeat overwhelming odds and masters with much more experience.  Using wit and ingenuity as a counter to the quick thinking of a computer allows him to continue his journey.  Not only will viewers be amazed by the concept of this, but they will be blown away by the diversity and creativity that is a whole new world.  They will be able to relate to our protagonist, who is just a normal guy who happens to discover something amazing, and then adapts instead of shirking his new duties.  Everybody likes rooting for the underdog, and our protagonist will be one for the majority of the movie.  By then end, no word can describe him other than “badass”.

Oh yeah, and there will be a lot of explosions.  Having Michael Bay help with this movie is a great honor, and the digital effects will be off the charts, comparable to Avatar.  The elementalist fights will feature crackling energy (in the form of 1’s and 0’s) and each creature has its own set of abilities that make it unique.  Combat will be full of energy and explosive (in the sense of fast paced and instantaneous), and some of the creatures will make your jaw drop.  This feature will have the technological marvel of a film of the current era, yet will not focus solely on effects.  They will serve to enhance and you viewers will leave the movie theater with no thoughts on your mind except for:  “Holy Sh*t.”

The Pitch for Elements: the Movie

Disclaimer:  All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance  to real persons -- forum member Elementals -- is purely coincidental.

Script:

-Zso:  The lead character is a young computer hacker who is addicted to playing Elements: the Game on his PC.  He begins to suspect that the IRL world is not actually real but a computer simulation.  In the game's chat room, he comes into contact with a few other EtG players who know even more about this mysterious realm...

-Nae: Yeah, sure -- It's called "The Matrix".  Don't try to sell us such an obvious copy-cat idea.

-Zso: This is no copy-cat!  You see, Neo needed Morpheus to unplug him from the Matrix, but our hero finds his own way into the Elements realm through a glitch in the VR helmet interface of the game.  To survive in the Elements realm -- where an evil noseless freak is trying to take over the world -- he has to learn magic spells and potions, so he needs to attend a boarding school along with two friends: a totally useless red-haired boy named Rob, and a superior-in-every-way hot young lady called Heather.  There is a tournament where they have to fight with Dragons of the Elements.

-Chap: Pfffft!  I can't believe you are trying to sell us a Harry Potter rip-off.

-Zso: Well, you need to employ some plot elements that are proven to be blockbusters, you know.  An existing market for the story protects your investment in the picture.  Anyway, this story differs in many ways.  There is a war going on between the Elements represented by various mythical creatures, like the Armagio.  They are gigantic, extremely heavy robots using Overdrive and Gravity Pull.  They have been battling each other for millennia in outer space, but so far never bothered with our insignificant planet, yet their shape is kind of humanoid, and they can transform into the shapes of our cars, trucks, and airplanes, and you can't really tell the good guys apart from the bad guys, because they all look the same...

-Nae: Wait, do you want to popularize a card game with this movie, or sell toys?

-Zso:  ...err... Popularize Elements: the Game, of course!

-Nae:  Then why don't you leave the Transformers franchise out of it?

-Zso: OK, there are other creatures, too:  Fallen Elves with pointy ears, Black Dragons, Lava Golems, Earth Golems that look like Cave Trolls, White Crusaders using Holy Light like Gandalf, and Ghost armies from the Past -- and DON'T tell me I'm ripping off Lord of the Rings, because that was the other way around, and I already proved that with my Round 5 submission to Brawl!

-Chap: Reeaaallly?!?! ...  Whatever...

[slight pause; Zso is running out of enthusiasm]

-Zso:  *sigh*  What about this plot?  There are 12 districts, each devoted to a different Element. Every year, two underage elementals from each district are chosen randomly to fight in a tournament to the death -- and their parents are perfectly OK with that.
The tournament is hosted by the privileged ruling district that keeps the other districts in poverty and their members in slavery, while they themselves dress like second-rate Lady Gagas. The contenders start the fight in a circle around a pile of weapons, shields, and spell and creature summoning cards, so the first few minutes of the "Games" are a death run to fight over the tools...

-Nae: Now we're talking!  This is great stuff!  Finally, a fresh idea!

-Chap: Wow, this is sooo GOOD, we can even use pictures from it during the next Brawl instead of that silly "Hunger Games" movie!

-Nae: You've got a deal.  We all vote for you and give you all the bonus points, too!

Spoiler for Team Entropony Cowboys:
Let's be honest. Brawl is just big fun! What is not to like? A bunch of big kids playing silly games for bragging rights. This brawl is everything I expected it to be. Well, almost everything :P. I expected more bragging rights! But you can't always have everything, can you? To those who say participating is more important than winning, you guys just have the wrong attitude! The first rule about brawling is: The best is not good enough. You have to give it your all!
The second and most important rule about brawl is: You are only as good as they think you are. Immage is a big thing. That is why the lesser known communitymembers have to work twice as hard. And that is what me and my team have been doing all this time. That is what brawl is, what it should be, hard work for fun  ;D. The moment that you stop doing your very best, is the moment that you lose.
I feel like the best is yet to come (check out our snapshot  8) )

Entropony Cowboys for the win!

The Brawl Journal (or How I Witnessed, Participated on, and maybe even Propitiated a Brawl Team downfall)

Day 1: I still can’t believe people actually bid for me. I’m so excited! The team boss sent me a link to the pad where we will work. We had our introductions on the pad chat. They all seem very nice! We’ve been talking about our experience on our roles. My teammates are all really good! We are all pretty confident about each other skills. They even complimented my English! I think this is the beginning of something beautiful. Too bad PlayerOa missed the conversation. He is on a slightly different time zone.
Day 7: The first round is on! After the tasks were revealed we all started brainstorming immediately. We got some great ideas! I’m a bit worried about my task. It’s supposed to be funny but I’m not much of a comedian. Anyway, I’m sure my teammates will help me with that.
Day 9: Omg, n00b’s submission is so funny! I know that guy will be fundamental to our team.
Day 10: We were discussing the forum expert task, but all we could do is leave messages to Oa, because when we all log on it’s really late for him. Anyway, he usually responds first thing in the morning.
Day 13: All tasks submitted one day ahead! I struggled with mine, but the guys made really acute and friendly observations that helped me improve. I think we are going to do great. Astrid drawing is simply amazing. And she is so humble about her skills!
Day 14: The second round tasks are hard. The boss said that we should outdo ourselves on this one.
Day 21: The first round results are out. We did good, but Opsinis was not very pleased. He said we should have a bigger advantage considering how expensive we were, and that he expects a lot more from us.
Day 23: n00b’s computer broke, so he won’t be our OT anymore. Such a pity.
Day 24: I logged on the chat early today, and to my surprise, n00b was there. I copied what he said to show it to the others:
[08:41] == Atom_heart [~IRIS@200.1.woy.vl] has joined #elementsthegame
[08:41] <@n00b> so I’ll be laying low for a couple of weeks. I can’t be seen hanging out with those losers! I have a reputation to look after, you know. I told Viney he should do the same.
[08:41] <@n00b> oops
[08:41] == n00b [~IRIS@42342342.gw.we.tgt] has quit [Client Quit]
Day 26: Vineroz announced he is going on vacations for a couple of weeks to a place with no internet access. Spy said that Vine wrote “Off to London!” in his Tweeter… I’m sure it’s another place called London.
Day 30: We are still ahead but the boss is putting more pressure after seeing the round 2 results. He told us that at the end of every week he is going to ask for replacements for the least voted member. I really, really need to be funnier.
Day 31: Blaming started. Someone said my stuff was not fun enough. I said I was not a funny guy the first day!! Astrid had a breakdown after harsh critique on her art. She said something about acquiring IP addresses and a flamethrower. We kept picking on each other for hours, until we agreed that it was all Oa’s fault. Of course he couldn’t defend himself, since he was sleeping and all.
Day 32: I’m so stressed about my task that I actually started to procrastinate the tasks by doing my job at the office.
Day 34: Viney sent a picture today. He is riding a double decker bus, drinking tea and giving us the finger.
Day 35: We are in second place now. Still, it's weird that we keep getting bonus points in odd tasks. From what I gather, at least one of my teammates is sleeping with someone on the experts panel.
Day 36: So yesterday we had 45 minutes left to submit our tasks and Viney was nowhere to be seen. Later on we would find out that he had just woken up naked in a Bangkok alley, but at the time we were clueless. Spy was busy, Oa was sleeping, Andre was sticking his head in the rear end of a frozen turkey to dub his video and the rest of the team had never played EtG. So I stepped up and built the deck in 40 minutes. Fun fact: I came in last place on the previous Battle League.
Day 37: The new guy is constantly writing his thoughts about everybody else’s task. What does he think this is, a team effort? My teammates are getting annoyed and don’t even talk to him. I kinda like him but I don’t speak to him either, I’m getting enough hate already and it’s nice to have someone else to take some heat off me.
Day 38: We are constantly on a bad humor. We only talk in the pad chat to trash each other’s ideas. The worst part is how this is affecting our real lives. We find ourselves trying to explain to people that we spent the last few weeks in a competition of fan fiction on a forum based on a flash game. And all we get is a forum icon as a reward. And the disapproving look of said people, of course.
Day 39: I lost control at the pad chat today. I made a typo and they started saying things like ‘Learn to spell Speedy Gonzalez’ and ‘Andale! Andale!’ I said pretty nasty things too. Astrid told me she is going to take me to court. Where does she get off? What is she, a lawyer?
Day 40: Astrid is a lawyer. Apparently she got her law degree while in prison. That’s where she picked up those mad charcoal drawing skills too. I might be in trouble.
Day 41: Since we are having trouble calculating all the possible outcomes of bidding and wagering, Opsinis hired an accountant. His fee will be paid by the one with less total votes at the end of this round.
Day 42: Narrowly averted the team coming to a consensus on Astrid using her Prison Tattoo Pen and me as a canvas. Thankfully, it didn't qualify as a "traditional medium”. On a side note, Opsinis disappeared, so we might be on our own.
Day 43: This is bringing the worst out of ourselves. I said pretty mean things to Spy today, just because I thought he was criticizing me. A couple of hours later some guys with tattoos drove by my house and punched a few holes on the front. With Kalashnikovs.
Day 45: Signed up for English classes. I'm such an ignorant burro. What the hell? I didn't write that. Could somebody be hacking my computer? And why won't it delete?
Day 49: The final results are out today. We didn’t speak to each all week. I don’t want to see those guys faces ever again. Heading off to the Standings thread. Oh my god!!! I can’t believe this!!!! We…

If you want to know what happens next, and what will be the fate of each member of this illustrious group of brawlers, vote for the Expensive Clocks!!!!

Spoiler for Team Surf Ninjas:
In the beginning, Zanzarino created the Air and the Earth.  Now the Earth was formless and empty, Darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Aether of Zanzarino was hovering over the Water.

And Zanzarino said, "Let there be Light", and there was Light.  And Zanzarino saw that it was good.

And Zanzarino said, "Hey, that's a pretty good start.  Now let there be Gravity and Entropy and Life and Death and Fire and Time.  And what the heck?  Throw in some Other, too."  And Zanzarino called his creation "Elements".

At first, the Elements coexisted peacefully, but eventually each wanted some of what the others had, because Elements can be greedy like that.  So the Elements went to War.  And Aether won the War, and saw that it was good.

But the other Elements weren't happy with that result, so they began to Brawl.  Only six of the Elements were able to field teams during the Brawl, because the others were tired from War, or just plain lazy.  So the rest just sat around cheering for the other teams and eating beef jerky.

The six Elements who Brawled were Darkness, Entropy, Fire, Light, Time, and Water.  Each Element had a Boss, and the Bosses fought over who would be on their respective teams.  The cunning Darkness Boss assembled her team using very little money, while the Time Boss spent almost his entire fortune to acquire his teammates.

The teams chose names for themselves to intimidate the other teams.  Darkness became "AbSTRACT" because no one could tell who they were.  Entropy became "Entropony Cowboys" because they all wished they were from a mythical land called Texas.  Fire remained "Fire" because they couldn't be bothered to come up with anything else.  Light became "The Crusaderps" in reference to their derping Crusaders.  Time became "Expensive Clocks" because of how much their Boss spent to hire them.  And Water became "Surf Ninjas" because they truly were the coolest of all the teams.

Within each team, each Boss had six minions:  an Artist, who would make pretty pictures; a Card Designer, who would create new ways of attacking the other teams; a Deckbuilder, who would assemble the Card Designer's weapons in new ways; a Forum Expert, who was knowledgeable in the ways of communicating with the other Elements; an Off-Topicker, who would talk about anything besides the Elements, and a Writer.  No one really knows what the Writer did, but it was obvious to everyone that he was the most awesome member of each team.

Powerful entities looked down from the sky and realized that the Brawlers would need guidance.  So they selected a weird Voodoo Doll guy and a human with the wings of a raven.  The powerful entities christened these two as “Brawlmasters” and sent them to the Land of Elements.  There, the Brawlmasters got to exercise their power trips, and they saw that it was good.

The Brawlmasters decided that the teams should Brawl for six rounds.  In each round, each member of each team would perform a certain task, which would be assigned by the Brawlmasters.  Then, everyone would vote to decide who performed the tasks best.  Most of the Elements voted, but some were still too busy eating beef jerky.

In Round 1, everyone completed their tasks except the Writer from Team The Crusaderps, because he was off derping with a Crusader.  When the voting ended, Team Expensive Clocks were in the lead, but just barely, because the Brawlmasters like to know what time it is and gave them extra points.  Team The Crusaderps pulled up the rear.  Maybe that would teach their Writer to run off in the middle of a Brawl.

Things started to get interesting in Round 2.  The Writer for Team The Crusaderps was back, but the Boss and the Deckbuilder took a holiday.  No one is sure why, though some believe they were out chasing Photons around the block.

The Brawlmasters threw in a twist by making the Forum Expert and Off-Topicker work together.  For this task, Team AbSTRACT decided to be as abstract as possible by submitting something no one could see.  Team Fire, on the other hand, wanted to make sure everyone could see what they did, so they worked day and night until they had a submission that went on, and on, and on.  And on.  Their idea won, and there was much rejoicing.  However, their idea was so large that the Brawlmasters made a special rule that no one could do anything that big ever again.  And there was much rejoicing.

Also in Round 2, each team performed a bonus task.  The Brawlmasters liked Team Entropony Cowboys' bonus best, and declared that the ultimate winners of Brawl would receive a copy of the image Team Entropony Cowboys had created.  As in Round 1, Team Expensive Clocks received the majority of the Brawlmasters' praise, because Brawlmasters really like to know what time it is.  Because two members took the week off, Team The Crusaderps remained in last place.

When Round 3 arrived, Team The Crusaderps' Boss returned, but gave the week off to the four members of his team.  Unfortunately, those four members were the ones the Brawlmasters chose to work together:  the Artist, the Card Designer, the Deckbuilder, and the Writer.  Team AbSTRACT'sOff-Topicker made another abstractly invisible submission.  And the Brawlmasters proved they really, REALLY like to know what time it is when they gave Team Expensive Clocks the most applause yet again.  This kept that team in first place, and Team The Crusaderps held their familiar position at the back of the pack.

Then it was time for Round 4.  Team The Crusaderps' Artist applied so much Light to his submission that it burned away before anyone could see it.  Team AbSTRACT decided this week's abstract idea would be the combination task for the Card Designer, Off-Topicker, and Writer.  Team Fire's Forum Expert decided to test the limits the Brawlmasters imposed upon him; he made an extra large submission (again), but at least it fit within the new rule.

When the dust cleared, Team AbSTRACT found themselves behind all the other teams, because abstraction doesn't lend itself well to getting votes.  The Brawlmasters again threw most of their praise to Team Expensive Clocks, because they really, REALLY, no, REALLY like to know what time it is.  It wasn't enough for the Clocks, though, as Team Fire found themselves in the lead.  Controversy arose as to whether Team Fire was more interested in style or content, but the other elements were still too busy eating beef jerky to bother answering why they voted the way they did.

The stakes increased during Round 5.  The Off-Topicker for Team Entropony Cowboys submitted a task that no one saw, which seemed to be a random event.  The Brawlmasters ordered each Boss, Artist, and Forum Expert to work together.  Team The Crusaderps performed the task so brightly that it blinded everyone who saw it.  The task for Team Surf Ninjas got washed away.  When everyone had cheered for their favourite submissions, Team Fire retained the lead and Team AbSTRACT retained the anti-lead.  The Brawlmasters took a long time deciding which tasks they liked best, so their decisions didn't make it into this story.  Sue me.

When Round 5 began, a bunch of the teams began throwing challenges and wagers at the others.  Just about every team chickened out of at least one challenge or wager, causing their teams to lose points.  Pretty much every team was equally chicken, though, so these losses didn't have a real effect on the teams' standings.

In Round 6... well, this story is part of Round 6, so you'll just have to wait and see.  So there.

Spoiler for Team Expensive Clocks:
Mutagen
Creatures come in as mutant versions of themselves (as opposed to random creatures like when Improved Mutation is used).
The creature gets the +[0-4] bonus to both attack and HP as well as a random ability to replace the one it should have.
The unupped affects both players whereas the upped only affects you.

Essence card type as described by team entropy last round:
Essences are unlike shields, weapons, creatures, or spells in several ways:
  • Essences cannot be played
  • Essences are revealed while in hand (as if affected by Precognition)
  • Essences only function if the card element matches your mark.
  • Essences take effect while in your hand
  • Essences take up one slot in your hand until it is discarded (like normal)
  • Essences no longer work if they are discarded

 :entropy
Spoiler for Team Entropony Cowboys:
Sap|Undermine
This is the card that was created for our challenge vs. the expensive clocks. If there are no creatures in play, nothing happens. This effect does not stack. (But the upgraded version does take priority) I.e. Having 6 of these cards does not reduce 6 creatures' attacks. Attack values can become negative. A recap of the rules for the creepers:
  • Do not count for the 30 card minimum deck limit, but do count for the 60 card max limit to prevent abuse and remove the need to expand the deck creation screen.
  • When the round starts, they go into your opponents deck instead of yours
  • When drawn, they are immediately autocast and have a (typically) detrimental effect. A replacement card is drawn after the Creeper card is played (so you cannot cut your opponent's draw power in half by just including 30 Creeper cards).
  • Can be targeted and destroyed like either permanents or creatures (includes AoE spells like Rain of Fire.  They count as having 1 HP)
  • Ideally, the game screen would be expanded so these appear between the hand and mark in a similar style as your hand does (just the names. you hover over to view details.)
  • Effects stack, however the cards themselves do not, so you cannot use one Protect Artifact to protect and entire stack of Sudden Burns.

I noticed it too. +points for  :darkness and  :fire for fitting the theme (still need to see well all of them), and I have to check what the  :light ones talk about
