Gold has been at zero forever and Platinum has dropped down to 1.

The arena rewards are determined automatically, apparently factoring in things like number of plays each league gets and the winrate of decks. They are known to fluctuate but usually return to normal after a while. Just over a year ago though they started behaving strangely, with the bronze payout rising dramatically and platinum moving from over 200 :electrum down to around 120 and gold crashing from 80 to something like 12. It only got worse from there, and since hitting zero we haven't seen gold move at all. Platinum is very close to receiving the same fate. As for the exact formula of the rewards, or what powers the arena mods have to change it, I don't know. What I can tell you is we're aware of the issue and as far as I know, nothing is being done to fix it.

So now both Gold AND Platinum are at 0 :electrum

Just noticed this same issue. I wonder if it is coded somehow to the winrates of decks. I have been winning non-stop in plat due to all the 1HP decks. The winrates of plat decks may be so low that the rewards went to zero.
-
No; there's just as many 1hp decks in bronze and silver, and they're at record highs. I don't know the reason, but it can't be that.

I believe arena rewards are linked to overall winrate and plays.
So if people play an arena too much or win too much, the rewards fall, and if the opposite happens, the rewards rise. But then, now everyone is farming bronze or silver and they aren't going down or up: I believe this has to do with an interaction between all arenas' rewards. If one arena has its reward lowered, the others rise(although at this point it's just a theory of mine).
Perhaps some people are taking advantage of the NaNs in gold and platinum? They have a good reason since upped special spins are there, too. But then again, I think it's some kind of super-farming; it's far too much to have such a low reward considering what platinum is and that the decks haven't really gotten a downfall in their win:loss ratio.

Hmmm... well who ever is messing with platinum now hasn't caused it to go above 0. I guess if there was a reward for playing it again, it would be worth getting 5 losses every time my deck gets a win ::)

Zanz has been notafied but haven't done anything to change it. The best solution would be to reduce the amount of players in each arena to 50 or 100. It's madness as it is now.
