the gods with permanent control always have more than 6 of them, and also Pulverizers and butterfly effect
I'm quite sure  6 SoGs won't be enough to withstand the damage in real game as most of them will be boom up.

How about increasing the deck size by a little bit and throwing in an Uli and a couple quints?

-> Keep those pesky skills (destroy, devour, paradox, grow ...) in the remaining middle-row under control. Maybe cast an early, quinted dragon who will deal a ton of damage over time and hence alleviates the need for that last-minute dragon-spam, waiting for which makes every game last forever.

Ulitharid is a good idea because it would make use of excess aether but I think octopi could just freeze those creatures anyway. Quint on the other hand is unstrategic in my opinion because it does not fit in with the spirit of the deck--you are obtaining an offense through fractal and a defence through the permafrost-SoG-flooding combination, both of which are en masse tactics. This deck would not be complemented significantly enough by performing surgical creature control to warrant the inclusion of quint as in the case of most anti FG rainbows.
