NOTES:
Like other permanents, the effects of this card can stack if multiple copies are in play.  This card may be destroyed, though it will deal its damage as a result. 

This would certainly work very well as a Death card instead, but Death tends to be...more straightforward in how it damages opponents.  Darkness tends to be a bit sneakier, and forcing a choice on opponents who rely on denial, in my mind, fits Darkness a bit better.

Artwork is from http://www.sxc.hu/.  I am a horrible, horrible artist and would love for someone to come up with an original design for it.

Changed name of unupped from Booby Trap to Spring-Loaded Trap.
Changed unupped to Poison Trap, changed cost of unupped from 3 :darkness to 4 :darkness.  Changed unupped to cause 1 poison damage, upped to 1 neurotoxin damage.
Changed both to inflict 2 poison | neurotoxin.

Smurrf's version is immaterial and the upgraded version poisons instead of damages.

Card needs art before it can be submitted to Crucible.

As for the card itself, I'm not sure how useful it would be, although looking at the way Booby Trap is, it seems okay for the moment. I don't see why it should be Immaterial though.

I went ahead and changed the mechanic of the unupped version and changed the upped to compensate.  Beartrap deserves to be judged on its own merits; my apologies, I didn't see that one in the recent archives when I was making this one up. 

And Poison Trap isn't immaterial exactly, it just can't be stolen...mostly because I'd think it would be freakin' hard to uninstall one and reinstall it in something else.  Mostly, though, it's a balance for the fact that it's a card that does nothing if the other player doesn't target your permanent. (Edit: And since this is a  :darkness card, protection for the owner from taking damage from using his own steals.)

I'll try and draw up something for art before it goes up, then.  How hard can it be to draw a needle with a blob of liquid on the end anyway?

Changed both versions to inflict 2 poison | 2 neurotoxin...inflicted damage seemed low previously.

Very nice card. It gives Darkness a new weapon in its arsenal that is very flavorful and can be used very nicely.

Kakerlake: I believe that there is no God as in something that can think by itself and does stuff that sounds way OP.
