If I'm not mistaken, that's a generic "Mandelbrot Set". Google it if you don't know. These are indeed fractals, albeit specific kinds of fractals.

The current art isn't a fractal, but it IS very nice and it does indeed reflect the nature of the card. However, I agree that a good fractal would be more fitting as card art.

In fact the current art could be a fractal... if it consisted of infinite number of identical arts that are each smaller than 1 pixel
So we don't know if it is a fractal or not due to rasterization.

The vast majority of the populace disagrees with this, however, and I think that a more obvious fractal would be better suited for this purpose, don't you?

Personally I think the new in development cards are all way over powered, this card in particular. The game used to be extremely balanced, all cards are kind if useless. I agree these the alchemy cards and the nymphs added some spice to the game, but these? It's just too crazy.

I played around with aether pillars and fractal as my only aether cards, and the rest light; using photons to generate the light quanta.  Hideously vulnerable to RoF and Thunderstorm, of course:

What do you say about this? 6 Quanta, no draining, and it gives you up to three (or maybe 4 for 7 quanta) copies of the creature? Would it be fine?

i'm creating a mono-ether speed deck (o.O) with fractal, just i put  some phase recluse, same fractal and many pillars, and create a recluse army.

just put a recluse and use fractal, and one turn later have 6 recluse with 7 of attack to play
it's good as a top-50 famer
