Rush Series: Aether https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=4898.msg48449#msg48449

I'm going to create a rush deck for each element! Each of these decks will have 30 cards, no more, no less. This is the first one and it is aether. I know not many people think about an aether "rush" deck but I'm going to create one that works upgraded and unupgraded. here it is:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61p 61p 61p 61q 61q 61q 61s 61s 61s 61s 61v 61v 61v 61v 61v 620 620 620 8pu

Not fastest rush, much of because it is aether.

PRO'S

  • Many Creatures, low chance of not getting any creatures
  • Upgraded spiders hit 7's! Very powerful
CON'S

  • The creatures are somewhat costly
  • Unupgraded, the Aether creatures are somewhat weak
I have just tried this on the trainer and it is consistant. Feel free to give it a try!

This is still pretty close to a standard mono aether deck. If you want to make a rush deck you take out defense and add offense. Look at Skillgannon's deck: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,660.0.html Now that's what I call an aether rush. It was made before Fractal, though, so now you could also try a Fractal + Ball Lightning approach. (I'm not sure it'd be faster, but it warants testing.)

Agreed, altough, I'm not sure you would survive long, and Skillgannon's deck works well only if upgraded. Without upgraded spiders, his deck would be somewhat weak (No offense Skillgannon, I like your deck) Maybe you could replace 2 or 3 Shields with PU's and Lightnings.

Agreed. This is a RUSH deck series. I'd still swap 6 Dimensional Shields for 2 more Phase Dragons, 2 Lightnings and 2 more Pillars.

Also, why don't you add deck images to these? It's very simple, and deck images are now very easy to make using the deck codes. (Having a deck image for your deck is REQUIRED, btw :)) You should probably go through the rest of your topics, adding images to them.

[...] altough, I'm not sure you would survive long, [...]
A standard mono aether normally puts up shields when things get hot, whereas a rush deck wins before things get hot. Victory in 5-6 turns, maybe less. That's about the time you commonly start laying out shields with standard mono aether. The downside of a rush is that you lose if your offense gets stopped.

So a rush deck isn't about surviving long - it's about winning quickly.

Ok...This is a stupid question...But how do you get good size image. I always only get the tiny one that you have to click on.

I had a hard time figuring that out too...

So, now I am trying other members' decks which I can afford and got a chance to use this one.
Like others often pointed, Aether is very costly. Lost in the second match against Silver. Trying to go against AI3 but unfortunately it pulled Discord.

A word of advice mate, just above each post is a little timestamp, and the latest reply to this topic was over seven years ago. No-one involved is around anymore, and much better decks have been developed since then. Before you leave a reply on something, check when the last time anyone said something about it. If it was a really long time ago, chances are the people who wrote it left, and/or a better topic has been created somewhere else.

But...
However, replying in old posts is explicitly allowed in the Mono-decks, Duo- decks, Trio- and Quartet- decks, Rainbow decks, and Deck Compilations sections.  Posting your thoughts/deck version/experiences in the outdated thread is much preferred over creating a separate thread.
