Psion Fractal Massacre [PVP1 and AI3 farmer] https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=47174.msg1045508#msg1045508

This deck works great as a replacement for momentum.  It has strong spell damage, which is great for hitting through phase/damage reducing shields.  :D

Strategy:

This deck is based on heavy spell damage.  By using fractal on your Psion you are able to have a high accumulation of spell damage.  Don't worry about the fact that the fractal uses up the remaining  :aether quanta, because the 15 pillars will produce sufficient quanta for your deck. There is one spark in the deck to help with KO's, since spark require, no quanta to summon by using fractal on them you are able to do immediate heavy damage.  The Dimensional Shield are used to prevent you from losing health.

I thought maybe with spark, you could go for last minute KO damage.  If you don't have enough quanta to summon enough Psion to KO, use fractal on spark.  Since Spark has no cost, you can summon as many as you would like for immediate heavy damage.

That is an extremely good answer, and a very good reason for it.  In this case, foreveralone spark is good (maybe put in two).

EDIT: How is the quanta? Would lightning work better than dims?

I find lightning to be not as effective in this deck, Dimensional works well by preventing all things from attacking. While lightning only eliminates one creature. Since this is a 30 deck card, Dim will show up quite often. The quanta isn't a problem, remember to play shield and creature before using fractal, that way you use the deck to the best of its efficiency.  ;D

Why would he add SoW's on a deck that already deals spell damage and doesn't even have quinted creatures?

Attack boost. SoW costs 3 :aether and adds +4 attack, essentially summoning a 4|x creature (though it's killed together with the psion)

However, that is a bad idea in this deck.
1. It's fractal deck, which means less hand clogging = better.
2. The cost difference is not that significant anyway, paying 1 extra quanta for further CC spreading is preferred.

Therefore, this deck might be better off without SoW.

One suggestion (seconded as it has been posted before) would be -dim +spark, if you want Sparktal splashed. It allows for better chance of drawing Spark.

Well this deck does not necessarily rely on spark, I think have a dim to avoid damage is more important.  Then again having an extra spark will help with the probability.

Well I wouldn't be surprised, its quite effective in countering most defensive mechanisms.
